Zendure has developed a home storage system using a semi-solid state battery with a capacity of 6.438 kWh. Each unit can be configured with up to four batteries, with the capacity of one unit at 32 kWh and two units at 64 kWh. The system can be used with photovoltaics.

US startup Zendure has announced a new plug-and-play home storage system with semi-solid state batteries for home power backup, mobile devices and portable EV charging applications.

The SuperBase V 6400 (SBV) measures 73 cm x 34,6 cm x 44,2 cm, including its wheels, and weighs 59 kg. The Satellite B6400 semi-solid state battery measures 69cm x 28,5cm x 27,4cm and weighs 46kg.

The battery pack, according to the manufacturer, contains 42% more energy than lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.

One SBV unit has a storage capacity of 6.438 kWh and can be configured with up to four battery units, reaching a capacity of 32 kWh. Two SBV units can be connected together to reach a capacity of up to 64 kWh. The energy storage system can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 C to 45 C and has a lifetime of 3.000 cycles.

The company is launching versions of the system for the US and European markets, with different inputs and outputs. The US version has a maximum output of 1.800 W at 120 V and 3.800 W at 240 V. The European version has a maximum output of 3.680 W at 230 V and 1.725 W at 115 V. Both versions also have car and EV sockets, as and entry for photovoltaics up to 3.000 W. The system can be charged up to 6.600 W.

The company has achieved zero-millisecond power backup activation, with zero-latency uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) during power outages.

SuperBase V makes its global debut September 2-6 at IFA 2022 in Berlin ExpoCenter City.
