Solaredge SE POWER OPTIMIZER P600-P5 optimizer for photovoltaics: The SE POWER OPTIMIZER P404-P5 power optimization box is a key element in SolarEdge solar panel system. The SolarEdge power optimization box collects and processes signals from solar panels, distributing them to whichever circuit sends the highest current. This unit is agnostic for solar panels and can be used with panels of any brand.
The SolarEdge power optimization box is connected to the solar panels via a photovoltaic string cable. The power optimization box connects to other SolarEdge components via an Ethernet cable (approx. 6 feet). Power optimizers also have a bifurcation attached to the bifurcation box at the back. The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC power supplies, for example to one ground power source and one generator, or to two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active power source.
Two AC outputs
The main output operates as an uninterruptible power supply. The Quattro takes over the power supply of the connected loads in case of failure in the network or when the main power supply / generator is disconnected. This happens almost instantly (in less than 20 milliseconds) so that computers and other electronic devices can continue to run without interruption. The second output is only active when the main AC power supply is available at one of the Quattro inputs. In this way, loads that should not be supplied by the battery in an emergency, such as e.g. a water heater, can be connected to this output.
