Cyrix-Li-load 12/24V-230A microprocessor controlled heavy-duty relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects when the voltage drops below the level navigation (indicating that one or more batteries are discharged). The first line of defense is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries have integrated cell balancing. The second line of defense consists of:

• shutdown or reduction of charging current in case of impending cell overvoltage, high temperature (>50°C) or low temperature (<0°C).

VE.Bus BMS is the core of the second line of protection. However, not all loads or chargers can be directly controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Several Cyrix VE.Bus BMS controlled switches are available to disable such loads or chargers.

Cyrix-Li-load

The Cyrix-Li-load will disengage when its control input becomes free-floating. If battery voltage recovers after disconnection (which will happen when no other loads are connected to the battery), the BMS output will go high and the Cyrix will re-engage after 30 seconds. After 3 reconnection attempts, the Cyrix will remain unlocked until the battery voltage rises to more than 13V (26V or 52V respectively) for at least 30 seconds (which is a sign that the battery is recharging).
Alternatively, BatteryProtect can be used (advantage: very low power consumption).
