Cable for Smart BMS CL 12/100 in MultiPlus

This cable for Smart BMS CL 12/100 connects between a non VE.Bus BMS ( Smart BMS CL 12-100 or miniBMS ) and a MultiPlus ( MultiPlus, MultiPlus Compact or MultiPlus-II).

Cable for Smart BMS CL 12/100 will disable the MultiPlus once the BMS detects a low voltage, high voltage or temperature alarm condition on the Victron Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Battery Pack. Once the alarm condition is cleared, the BMS will reactivate the MultiPlus.

This cable will allow MultiPlus 500VA – 1600VA, MultiPlus Compact 800VA – 2kVA and MultiPlus-II models to be used with BMS products that do not have a VE.Bus interface, such as Smart BMS CL 12-100 and smallBMS. These MultiPlus models can be controlled by the Load/Charge Disconnect and Load/Charger outputs respectively.

The cable must be connected to the remote on/off connector on MultiPlus models:
• When used with MultiPlus 500VA-1200VA models, connect the black wire to the ON terminal and the red wire to the (+) terminal.
• When used with MultiPlus Compact 800VA-2kVA models, connect the black wire to the middle terminal and the red wire to the right (IN) terminal.
• When used with MultiPlus-II models, connect the black wire to the lower (-) terminal and the red wire to the upper (+) remote on-off control.

Both the Load/Charge Disconnect outputs of the Smart BMS CL 12-100 and the Load/Charger outputs of the smallBMS must be in the "High" state for the MultiPlus to operate. After low battery shutdown, turn on the alternator or use a battery charger on the main side of the BMS to reset the system. The MultiPlus will then turn on and start charging (if connected to an AC source).
