The German manufacturer's new panel can also be used as a solar panel and claims to be particularly suitable for historic buildings and aesthetically demanding new construction and renovation projects.
German photovoltaic panel manufacturer Aleo Solar has launched a new range of solar modules for rooftop applications.
LEO Sol units will also be available as solar panels roof panels that can be integrated into roof surfaces using Ernst Schweizer's Solrif roof-mounted photovoltaic system.
The 345 W product is based on 96 monocrystalline cells. It measures 1.169mm x 1.607mm x 17mm. It also has 10 rows and a black back sheet. Aleo Solar also uses thin round wires instead of flat wires. Which allow more light to hit the cells.
The unit is hard roof fire tested and certified, is free of snail tracks and can withstand hail up to 40mm. The product and its performance are guaranteed for 25 years.
The Solrif indoor roof solar system allows the new unit to overlap and not stretch across the pitched roof instead of being clamped. Just like clay roof tiles, solar roof tile is placed directly on the battens.
The system also allows for full coverage of roofs using Solrif units. This offers design options for uniform coverage of corners and edges around chimneys and skylights. According to the manufacturer, the Solrif system is self-cleaning and low maintenance due to the free lower end of the units.
The uniform appearance of solar panels also makes them suitable for use photovoltaic in historic buildings and aesthetically demanding new construction and renovation projects, the company added.
