Built-in MPPT: why it matters

The regulator MPPT allows the panels to work at their maximum power point and converts the excess voltage into additional stream to the battery. The gain compared to a simple PWM controller it is typical 10% to 30% more energy from the exact same array of panels — and it grows in the winter, right when you need it.

And charger

When you connect a generator or mains power, the machine charges the batteries and passes the load directly. If you have a generator for bad weather, you don't need a separate charger or manual switching.

How do you choose size?

Three numbers. The inverter power must cover the loads that work simultaneously, with sufficient peak power to start the refrigerator or pump. The MPPT current determines how many Watts the panel picks up. And the battery voltage (12V, 24V or 48V) determines your entire array — and it’s not easy to change later, so get it right from the start.

12V for small loads, 24V for medium loads, 48V above 3000W. The voltage determines the entire array and is not easily changed later, so decide correctly from the beginning.
