Victron VE.BUS Smart dongle
The VE.Bus Smart dongle is two products in one:
First of all it is the Bluetooth accessory for our series of inverters/chargers: Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattro, and the Phoenix series of inverters with VE.Bus port. Once installed, use the VictronConnect app to monitor and operate the system: change the input current limit and select Off, On and Charger Only mode.
Secondly it can act as a voltage and temperature sensing device for the inverter/charger. This applies to all models.
In terms of surveillance, the device is a very good choice for use in caravans, small yachts and motorhomes, for which the Color Control GX or Venus GX are a step beyond what is necessary.

The dongle has the following features and functions:
The dongle can remotely control the inverter/charger via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app. The inverter/charger can be enabled, disabled or charger only and the AC input current limit can be set.
The dongle can remotely monitor the inverter/charger via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app. AC and DC parameters, device status, warnings or alarms can be monitored.
The dongle can be connected to a single inverter/charger or multiple inverters/chargers configured in parallel and/or three-phase.
The dongle measures battery temperature and voltage.
The dongle can act as a temperature and battery voltage sensor for inverter/charger and/or for VE.Smart Networking.
The dongle can be connected to an external temperature sensor, instead of using its own (default) temperature sensor.

The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC power supplies, for example to a ground power source and to one generator, or to two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active power source. Quattro prevents overloading of a source with limited AC voltage. First, the battery charge decreases automatically when there may be an overload. The second level increases the power of a generator or secondary supply from a ground source with battery power.
