Victron 12V/170Ah AGM Super Cycle Battery (M8)
Victron 12V/170Ah AGM Super Cycle (M8) deep discharge photovoltaic closed type battery from Victron Energy. Deep Cycle batteries are designed to withstand repeated discharge/charge cycles gradually using almost all of the battery's capacity.
It's about AGM battery and is used where high starting amperes are required. In case the battery breaks, there is no free liquid to leak out. This makes AGM batteries extremely safe.
Is provided with flat copper poles and M8 pins, which ensures the best possible connection contact and eliminates the need for battery terminals.
A truly innovative battery
AGM Super Cycle batteries are the result of recent developments in battery electrochemistry.
The paste of the positive plates is less susceptible to softening, even in the case of repeated 100% discharge of the battery, and new additives in the electrolyte reduce sulfation in case of deep discharge.
Excellent 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD) performance
Super Cycle batteries are recommended for applications where occasional discharge to 100% DoD or frequent discharge to 60-80% DoD is expected.
The two hour rest period in discharge mode will destroy most batteries within 100 cycles, but not the Super Cycle battery.
Smaller and lighter
An additional benefit of the new chemistry is the slightly smaller size and lighter weight compared to standard deep-cycle AGM batteries.
Low internal resistance
The internal resistance is also slightly lower compared to our standard AGM deep cycle batteries.
