12V, 24V, 32V, 36V and 48V on one controller

Built-in 30 days data logger

Multifunctional LCD screen

External power sensor (optional)

RS232 interface (optional)

Hybrid control system

Widely programmable

Built-in programmable logic

Four-stage PL charging with algorithm that incorporates real-time pulse amplitude (PWM) constant voltage control gives you complete control of the entire charging cycle. All charging voltages and times are adjustable over a generously wide range. This allows you to customize the charging system to suit exactly any custom requirements that you, your customer, or your battery manufacturer may have. Of course, in most cases, you can choose from one of our default programs, which cover most types of batteries and systems extremely well.

PL has many other tricks up its sleeves as well. It can control generators, night lights, back-up battery charging, many timer applications and much more!

An integrated LCD display shows battery voltage, charging current Ah, inside and out, charge current, battery temperature (with optional sensor) and more. System performance data is available for the previous 30 days. The controller remembers what happened, even if the user can not.

With the optional PLI interface and PLCom software, the user can access all PL funtions from a remote computer. All data can be read and all settings adjusted.

Because PL can operate 12, 24, 32, 36 and 48V systems and can be adjusted to any battery requirements, you can use PL in almost any battery charging job. It may be the only regulator you will ever need to order. (Higher trends Available on special order).

Character:

• Adjustable: All settings are adjustable and are stored in non-volatile memory, so you do not lose your custom set-up if the unit needs to be disconnected from the battery.

Screen: User-friendly LCD screen. Each number has a label.

• Energy Measurement: Daily load and Ah charge plus member of the charge, all recorded for 30 days

• Four Stage regulations: Boost, Absorption, Float and the equation available depending on the type of battery.

• History: Records Charge and Ah Load, Max / Min .. Battery Trends, SOC, and Float Times for the Last 30 Days. You can tell how much energy was actually collected and used. History can be very helpful in diagnosing a system problem.

• Generator Control: An advanced generator controller is included with four different control modes and a quiet time selection.

• Event Control: A powerful event / timer controller allows the load and / or terminal to be general Purpose to turn on / off a wide range of loads (eg pumps, lights, motors, etc.) according to the user a set of conditions is determined.

• Alarm: There is an adjustable high or low alarm output battery which can drive an external alarm device.

• Secondary battery charge: When the main battery bank is full, PL can provide a signal to change a relay so that all or part of the PV input can charge a secondary battery. Secondary battery charge is also controlled.

• Remote control: With the optional PLM remote control display, all functions can access PL from up to 100 meters away. PLM fits into a standard plate light switch.

• Data Comms: Communication with a computer is possible through the optional PLI RS232 port. This allows all data to be downloaded quickly and settings adjusted. Can be used via modem for remote areas etc.

• Protection: Protection against short circuit, reverse flow and lightning. Low battery disconnect load function built in Current limitation in case of overheating or above current. Complete compliant coating protects against corrosion.

External anastomoses: Up to two external branches can be added using optional DC isolated PLS2 shunt adapters. Converter and / or battery charger and other external currents may be included in the Ah and SOC readings.

• Hybrid Systems: If PL is primarily a device for controlling the charge of batteries with photovoltaic panels, it can also be used with other energy sources, such as wind, hydroelectric power and fuel-generators. PL supports series and bypass control. This allows PL to be used in a number of Solar Hybrid system designs. In hybrid systems, the solar cell can be controlled via the solar input terminal, while the secondary power source (wind, hydroelectric) is controlled by the control parallel to the load or general purpose station.

• Available in 20, 40 and 60A Versions: Using the optional PLA multi-control unit, the user can use up to three PL charge regulators together to work on photovoltaic systems up to 180 Amps. PLA provides a common communication interface, four alarms or control channel outputs, as well as control in a separate load control unit (LS1).
