Models with suffix (1 + Si) have a limited second current output which is always supplied if there is a voltage of 180 - 265 VAC at the input. This output can, for example, be used to prevent the vehicle from starting before the battery charger is disconnected (start stop function).

Adaptive 4-stage charging algorithm: bulk – absorb – float – store
Blue Power Charger features a microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management. The "adaptive" mode will automatically optimize the charging process in relation to how the battery is used.

Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use: storage function
The storage mode is activated whenever the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2,2V/cell (13,2V for a 12V battery) to minimize outgassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is increased back to the absorption level to "balance" the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, a major cause of premature battery failure.
