Su-vastika has introduced a three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system with power ratings from 10 kVA to 500 kVA. The backup time provided by the system can be extended by using solar power in conjunction with batteries.

Gurugram-based Su-vastika has launched a three-phase lithium battery-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system that can be widely used as an alternative to diesel generators (DGs), from residential and commercial buildings to educational facilities , hospitals and shopping malls.

The UPS system is available with power from 10 kVA to 500 kVA and can operate on bi-directional technology based on insulated gate bipolar transistor ( IGBT ).

The company claims that the operating cost of the UPS system is 75% less than DG sets. The batteries are based on lithium iron phosphate technology and can be recharged to 100% in four hours, according to the manufacturer.

The system also uses advanced static switches that reportedly reduce the switching time to between 2m and 5m, which is fast enough to prevent the computer and most sensitive equipment from being reset.

The backup time provided by the UPS system can be extended by using solar power in conjunction with the battery array. “Su-vastika's heavy-duty UPS are a far superior alternative to DG sets due to their high energy storage capacity, fast switching technology, negligible maintenance cost, batteries long duration and the ability to protect machines and devices during power surges. ,” the company said.

“UPS systems have Wi-Fi and GSM (optional) connectivity. Our app will monitor your UPS and send regular reports to Su-vastika technicians. In case of any issue, an automatic notification will be sent and a service call will be made,” he added. The company's electronic monitoring system also tracks battery pack usage and sends an alert when a replacement is needed.
