The correct points of use and maintenance of batteries. :

Η battery it is an important component in the PV power generation system, and the battery life is also the shortest in the whole system. The investment rate of the whole system is not less than 25%, and the replacement and maintenance costs are also high during the life cycle of the whole photovoltaic power generation system. Therefore, reasonable and proper use and maintenance can effectively extend the life cycle and replacement battery, reducing the operating cost of the entire PV generation system.

Ways to preserve it:
The correct points of use and maintenance of batteries.

(1) The battery must be stored in a low temperature, dry, ventilated and clean environment, and the storage temperature is 0-35°C, preferably 20±5°C. Battery self-discharge rate is related to storage temperature. The self-discharge rate is small at low temperature and the self-discharge rate is large at high temperature. Avoid heat, fire, direct sunlight and rain.

(2) H battery must fully charged for storage and should be recharged every 3-6 months at room temperature.

(3) After the battery is discharged, it should be charged immediately and the discharged battery should not be put on standby for a long time. Batteries that have not been used for a long time should be recharged after being set aside for a period of time until the capacity returns to the level before storage. The recharge interval is 3 months, up to 6 months.

(4) When the capacity is only or less than 40% of the rated capacity (when the open circuit voltage of the battery is lower than 2,1V, 6,3V or 12,6V at 25°C, respectively), it should be charged evenly so so that capacity can be restored and continue to be stored or put to use.

(5) When transferredτε and handle the battery, handle it with care to avoid damage to the battery. Do not touch the terminal pole and exhaust valve during transportation, and strictly prohibit dropping and rolling to avoid mechanical shock and high pressure.

During its installation:

(1) Before installing the battery, check the appearance for cracks and acid leakage. Check the terminal blocks for bends and damage. Bent and damaged terminal posts will make installation difficult or impossible and can cause seal end failure, resulting in acid creep, acid leakage and, in severe cases, high contact resistance and even a safety hazard.

(2) Handle gently brush the battery terminals with a copper brush to expose the metallic luster on the wiring parts of the terminals, and wipe away the lead residue and dust on the battery surface with a soft cloth.

(3) Wear protective gloves during the battery connection process. When using a metal tool such as a wrench, please pack the metal tool with insulation to avoid electric shock. Absolutely avoid touching the positive and negative poles of the battery with the metal tool at the same time, resulting in a short circuit of the battery.

(4) When used multiple batteries in parallel, should be arranged according to the positive and negative polarity of the battery labels, and the connection points should be tightened to avoid sparks or poor contact.

(5) The battery cabinet or the shelf must be placed in a predetermined position. Note that there must be a maintenance distance of 50-70cm between the battery cabinet and the battery cabinet, walls and other equipment, and pay attention to whether the load- The bearing capacity of the floor can meet the requirements.

(6) The distance installation distance between batteries is usually 10-15 mm for convection cooling.

(7) The battery must be placed away from heat sources and parts prone to sparks (such as transformers, power switches or fuses, etc.), at a safe distance of more than 0,5m, and no smoking or open flame is allowed near the battery system.
