2. Where can the PV system be installed?

According to ΥΑ ΥΠΕ / ΔΑΠΕΕΚ / 121501/5015 it is possible to install fixed PV systems in building installations used for housing, ie on the roof or roof of a building, including terraces, facades and awnings, as defined in articles 16 and 19 of Law 4067/12, as in force, as well as auxiliary spaces of the building, such as warehouses and parking spaces, as defined in par. 96 of article 2 of the same law.

The above installation of PV systems is allowed as long as it does not contradict the provisions of the New Building Regulation (NOK) and more specific building conditions that apply to the area.

The auxiliary spaces must be located within the same plot, where the main building is, otherwise they cannot be characterized as such. It is clarified that for the installation of the PV system any of the above spaces or a combination of them can be selected.

In addition, it is allowed to install a PV system on the ground (eg in an uncovered plot area) which is placed on fixed bases or in solar tracking systems (trackers).

3. Who can install a PV system?

The right to join the program of PV systems have natural persons who are not owners, who have the ownership or legal use (eg through lease, free concession, etc.) as well as the written consent of the owner of the space in which the PV system is installed and who use the building as their residence.

In the case of a PV system in a common or shared area of ​​the building, the installation of one or more PV systems is allowed. The right to join the Program in this case have the owners of the horizontal properties represented by the administrator or one of the owners of the horizontal properties after the concession of the use of the common or shared space by the other co-owners. 5. How is HEDNO informed about the intention to install the PV system and what is attached?

The interested party informs about his intention to install the PV system, electronically through an appropriate information system of HEDNO, submitting a request accompanied by the required supporting documents according to the HEDNO application form. It is a condition that the interested party has chosen the type of equipment that will be installed and that the relevant technical study has been prepared.

6. What procedure is followed after the notification of the intention to install PV by the interested party?

The competent HEDNO Area within fifteen (15) days from the date of submission of the request examines the possibility of connecting the PV system and sends to the interested party electronically, in case of acceptance of the connection the Connection Contract, which states the connection cost, the required connection projects and the time of their implementation, while in case of rejection of the connection written notification of the reasons for rejection.

In case of acceptance of the request by HEDNO, the commitment of the electrical space starts from the date of sending the Connection Agreement.

7. When is the Connection Agreement for the PV system signed?

The interested party must within sixty (60) days from the date of sending the Connection Agreement pay the relevant fee, sign the Connection Agreement and send it to the competent HEDNO Area electronically, otherwise after sixty (60) days it is revoked the electrical space commitment and the proposed Connection Agreement do not apply.

From the date of signing the Connection Agreement, the Producer is obliged to activate the connection of the PV system to the Network within twelve (12) months if no work is required at HV / MT Substations or within twenty-four (24) months if work is required at HV / Substations MT.

8. How much does it cost to connect the PV system to the Network?

The cost of the connection projects is:

  • to 400 € plus VAT, for PV up to 5 kWp
  • to 500 € plus VAT, for PV over 5 kWp and up to 6 kWp, if the replacement of the supply cable is not required
  • to 800 € plus VAT, for PV over 5 kWp and up to 6 kWp, if replacement of the supply cable is required.

The above costs are the standard connection costs, since no new network projects are required, apart from the replacement of the supply cable.

HEDNO completes the construction of the connection projects within thirty (30) days, if no new Network projects are required or within four (4) months if new Network projects are required, from the date of signing the Connection Agreement by the applicant,

10. When is a Offset Agreement signed for the PV system?

12. How is the PV system connected to the Network?

The PV system is connected to the Low Voltage network using the same supply cable through which the consumption of the building is supplied, according to the following diagram. An electronic meter is installed for the connection of the PV system, while in the existing consumption supply, if there is an electromechanical meter, it is replaced with an electronic one.

17. In case of change of the owner of the property in which a PV system has been installed and a Netting Agreement has been signed, what is provided?
