Microphones
Microphones are audio input devices that send audio information to a sound card. The microphones enable activities such as voice recordings and live PC chat through programs such as TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, ooVoo and Skype.
Device drivers
Device drivers are software components that are compatible with hardware devices. Computer sound cards often require the device driver to be installed to work properly. Installing drivers that are not compatible with your sound card or operating system may result in errors. New hardware devices that require driver software usually come with a driver CD that contains the basic drivers for the device.
