Victron Energy MultiPlus 12/2000/80-32 converter – pure sine DC – AC inverter with 80A DC charger and 32A switching relay. The new type MultiPlus is intended to replace the previous MultiPlus Compact series. It is a powerful pure sine wave inverter and a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive charging technology as well as a high-speed AC transfer switch, all in a compact metal frame.
How does voltage regulation work?
Voltage regulation is a process by which the voltage of an alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) electrical power source is maintained at a constant value. The voltage regulator can be a component of the power source, such as a transformer, or it can be a separate device.
The three main types of voltage regulators are linear voltage regulators, switch mode voltage regulators and zener diode voltage regulators. Linear voltage regulators work by using a variable resistor to control the amount of current flowing through the regulator. Switching mode voltage regulators use electronic switches to regulate current flow. Zener diode voltage regulators work by allowing only enough current to flow through the regulator to maintain the desired voltage.

The MultiPlus is also the industry standard in on-grid and off-grid energy storage systems and is approved for use in energy storage and self-consumption systems in the UK (G83 / 2 and G59-3-1 standards).
Several hardware and firmware modifications were needed to qualify for VDE-AR-N 4105 and several other country specific energy storage related standards. The resulting product is the MultiGrid. The MultiGrid fits seamlessly in all common energy storage topologies There is no one-size-fits-all solution to energy storage. The building blocks, topology and control systems will depend on local conditions and regulations.
