High power density
This new high-power string converter with the highest power density in the 1500 Vdc segment delivers up to 185 kVA at 800 Vac. This not only maximizes ROI for the cost of ground sharing scale (eg AC side cabling) for small to large scale, free ground photovoltaic installations.
Design flexibility
The inverter is equipped with 12 MPPT, the highest available on the market, ensuring maximum flexibility in the design of PV installation and increasing the efficiency also in case of complex installations.
Installer friendly design
Quick and easy installation, thanks to plug and play connectors, as the mounting systems of the existing photovoltaic unit can be used to install the inverters, thus saving time and money during the preparation of the construction site and the rental of the installation. The security-free and combiner design eliminates the need for external components, such as separate DC combiner boxes and first-level AC combiners, thanks to the built-in DC disconnector and the AC wiring harness with optional AC disconnection. Advanced Cooling Concept maintains system life and minimizes O&M costs thanks to heavy-duty inverter internal cooling fans. These can be easily removed during scheduled maintenance cycles, and the power unit can be easily replaced without removing the wiring harness.
Advanced communication for O&M
Standard wireless access from any portable device makes inverter and setup configuration easier and faster. Improved user experience thanks to the built-in user interface (UI) allows access to advanced inverter configuration settings. The Installer for Solar Inverters application for mobile devices and the configuration guide allow a quick installation and commissioning of multiple converters, thus reducing the time spent on space.
Fast system integration
Modbus industry standard (RTU / TCP) / SUNSPEC protocol allows fast system integration. Two Ethernet ports allow fast and unexpected communication for photovoltaic installations.

Tracking your assets is easy, as any inverter can be connected to the ABB cloud platform and thanks to the latest cyber security and arc detection technology, your assets and profitability are safe in the long run.

Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC power supplies, for example to one ground power source and one generator, or to two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active power source.
Two AC outputs
The main output operates as an uninterruptible power supply. The Quattro takes over the power supply of the connected loads in case of failure in the network or when the main power supply / generator is disconnected. This happens almost instantly (in less than 20 milliseconds) so that computers and other electronic devices can continue to run without interruption. The second output is only active when the main AC power supply is available at one of the Quattro inputs. In this way, loads that should not be supplied by the battery in an emergency, such as e.g. a water heater, can be connected to this output.
