What does an inverter charger do?

In a standard photovoltaic system, the inverter / charger performs two basic tasks: 1) converts DC power from batteries to household AC that can power standard appliances and other energy charges; and 2) converts AC to DC energy that can charge. deep cycle batteries
When AC power is available, the inverter / charger charges the home batteries. It also allows any excess AC power to pass through and power AC loads, such as a TV or microwave. When the AC power is disconnected, the unit reverses the DC battery power to AC power.
